Moventa Logistics

Moventa Logistics operates a network of over 4,000 carriers and subcontractors across Europe. From small independent freight operators to large cross-border transport providers, their operations depend on accurate and timely payments to ensure smooth service delivery.

Each new subcontractor is required to submit a bank account and VAT number before they can be activated in Moventa’s TMS (Transport Management System).


The Problem

Moventa’s onboarding team was handling 80–100 new carrier applications per week. Verifying bank details and VAT numbers was done manually by junior finance staff using online lookup tools and spreadsheets.

  • The process was slow, error-prone, and regionally inconsistent
  • Over 6% of bank accounts had issues — from mistyped digits to fake names
  • They experienced a €110,000 fraud incident involving a carrier account switch

The Solution

Moventa adopted MonitorPay.ai’s Bulk Validation Tool to process high volumes of supplier records at once.

The team now uploads spreadsheets weekly, validating:

  • IBAN format and structure
  • Payee name vs bank account holder
  • VAT registration and legal entity match

Validated records are imported directly into their internal system, while flagged accounts are paused for review.
